This bill requires health plans in Minnesota to cover over-the-counter contraceptives approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The coverage must be provided without cost-sharing, such as deductibles, co-pays, or coinsurance, and without any limitations that do not apply to other coverages under the plan. This new law will take effect on January 1, 2025, and apply to all health plans offered, issued, or renewed on or after that date.
