This bill requires all state agencies that perform governmental or proprietary functions to submit a log of all Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests they receive or have pending each year to the Committee on Open Government. The bill also requires the Committee on Open Government to publish all the FOIL request logs it receives on a single webpage in a machine-readable format. Additionally, the bill requires municipal agencies to submit the total number of FOIL requests they receive and close each year to the Committee on Open Government. The Committee on Open Government is also required to analyze the FOIL request data and include the findings in its annual report.
