This bill appropriates $2,500,000 in fiscal year 2025 from the general fund to the Commissioner of Employment and Economic Development for a grant to Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. The grant will be used to design, construct, renovate, and equip capital improvements to an existing service site located at 709 University Avenue West in the city of St. Paul. The improvements include accessibility and modernization, preservation and expansion of transitional housing units for youth and parenting youth experiencing housing instability, expansion of a therapeutic preschool, and improvements to office space for employment services, financial counseling, housing services, and behavioral health services. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until the project is completed or abandoned.
