This bill proposes several changes to the severance tax operational fund and related funds in Colorado. It would increase the annual transfer from the severance tax operational fund to the conservation district grant fund from $450,000 to $700,000 starting in the 2024-25 fiscal year. Additionally, it requires one-time transfers of $18.25 million from the severance tax operational fund to the general fund on June 30, 2025, and $25 million from the local government severance tax fund to the general fund on July 1, 2024. The bill also appropriates $250,000 from the severance tax operational fund to the department of agriculture for use by the conservation board in the 2024-25 fiscal year.
