This bill establishes an interagency task force to review and investigate indoor air quality in public school buildings that provide education for children in kindergarten through grade 12. The task force will consist of 17 members, including commissioners, state officials, and representatives from various education and safety organizations. The task force will investigate indicators of indoor air quality, such as carbon monoxide detection systems, carbon dioxide levels, air filtration and ventilation, and allowable air temperatures and humidity. The task force will also evaluate grants related to air quality and estimate the costs of implementing any recommendations. The task force is required to file a report on its findings, including any analysis, recommendations, or proposed legislation, by October 1, 2025.
