This bill amends the Public Buildings Law to require that menstrual products, such as sanitary napkins, tampons, and panty liners, be provided at no cost in all female-designated and gender-neutral restrooms and toilet facilities in public buildings determined to be open to the public, excluding buildings owned or leased by state universities, CUNY, or school districts. The bill also requires the Commissioner of General Services to report to the Governor and Legislature two years after the effective date on the implementation costs, renovations, and total menstrual products purchased related to this new requirement.
