This bill amends the Workers' Compensation Law to provide for paid family leave following a stillbirth. Specifically, it adds "to recover after a stillbirth" as a new reason for which an employee can take family leave, in addition to existing reasons such as caring for a family member with a serious health condition or bonding with a new child. The bill will take effect on January 1 following the first September after it becomes law and applies to all insurance policies and contracts issued, renewed, modified, or amended on or after that date.
