This bill provides for the automatic renewal of off-track wagering licenses in New Jersey. Specifically, the bill states that any off-track wagering license that is valid on, or issued after, the effective date of the bill shall renew automatically upon filing of the necessary renewal forms with the New Jersey Racing Commission and payment of any required renewal fees. The bill also deletes certain provisions related to the establishment of off-track wagering facilities, such as the requirement for permit holders to make progress towards establishing their share of off-track wagering facilities and the ability for the commission to issue licenses to well-suited entities to establish off-track wagering facilities.
