This bill authorizes the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) to convey two parcels of land originally acquired for the campus of the Lancaster Industrial School for Girls to the town of Bolton. The parcels include the northeast corner of the former Lancaster Industrial School for Girls that extends into Bolton and the Bolton dam near the Lancaster town line. The town of Bolton can acquire the parcels or rights to them for general municipal purposes, and the deed will include a reversionary clause if the land is not used for these purposes. The sale price will be the fair market value as determined by an independent appraisal. If the town does not complete the purchase by December 31, 2024, DCAMM can sell, lease, or otherwise transfer the parcels through a competitive bidding process. The commonwealth will have no liability for any claims related to the parcels, and the purchaser or lessee will be responsible for the costs of the transaction.
