This bill authorizes the town of Pembroke to grant one additional license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages not to be consumed on the premises. The license can be granted to South Shore Market and Deli, located at 256 Church Street in Pembroke. The license is subject to all the provisions of Chapter 138 of the General Laws, except for the limit on the number of licenses. The licensing authority cannot approve the transfer of the license to a different location, but they can grant it to a new applicant at the same location if the applicant is in good standing with the Department of Revenue and the Department of Unemployment Assistance. If the license is terminated, not renewed, or no longer in use, it must be returned to the licensing authority, who can then grant it to a new applicant at the same location within 3 years. The license must be issued within 3 years of the effective date of this act.
