This bill, the LINK Act or Learning Integrated National Knowledge for the Abraham Accords Act of 2024, directs the Secretary of Defense to design and implement a foreign military officer subject matter expert exchange program called the "Middle East Regional Integration Military Subject Matter Expert Exchange Program." The purpose of this program is to facilitate interaction, cultural exchange, and mutual learning among members of participating militaries in support of Middle East regional integration. The program will include participants from the U.S. Armed Forces and the armed forces of partner countries, covering a range of military expertise and pay grades. The program will involve in-person meetings, discussions, and information sharing on various topics related to defense, military cooperation, and regional integration. The Secretary of Defense will designate an Exchange Program Coordinator to oversee the program and provide reports on its developments, insights, and progress to Congress.
