This bill provides a 5% benefits increase for current retirees of the Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS). Specifically, any person who is receiving retirement benefits from OPERS as of June 30, 2025, and continues to receive those benefits after the effective date of the act, will have their benefits automatically increased by 5%. This means retired public employees will see a modest boost to their monthly retirement income.
