This bill repeals several sections of Maryland's Human Services law related to aging services and makes significant changes to how services for older adults are coordinated and delivered. The bill introduces more flexibility in service delivery, allows for new types of services (such as climate change resilience support), and aims to create a more streamlined and adaptable approach to supporting older adults. The changes will take effect in stages, with some provisions becoming active in June 2025 and the full bill implemented by July 1, 2026.
