This bill creates the Oklahoma Education and Workforce Efficiency Data System (EDS), a secure data platform designed to integrate and analyze educational and workforce information across multiple state agencies. The system aims to help policymakers make informed decisions by providing de-identified, comprehensive data about students' educational journeys and workforce outcomes while strictly protecting individual privacy. The bill mandates that the system become operational by June 30, 2027, with an initial progress report due by June 30, 2026, and can be funded through state appropriations, federal grants, and other approved sources. The legislative intent is to improve educational and workforce outcomes while responsibly managing taxpayer resources and protecting individual privacy.
