This bill requires health carriers and third-party administrators that manage self-funded employer health benefit plans to inform employers annually about their option to submit their claims data to the state's comprehensive health care information system, known as the NH All-Payer Claims Database (NH CHIS). If an employer chooses to authorize this submission, the Insurance Commissioner will then provide that employer with annual access to their own claims data.
