This bill modifies the membership and composition of the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth by reducing the total number of members from eighteen to sixteen. The changes primarily involve restructuring the appointment process and ex officio membership. Specifically, the bill establishes that nine members will now be appointed, with three members each appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the Governor. The remaining seven members will serve as ex officio, non-voting members, including the Directors of Human Services, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and other key state agency leaders. The Commission must continue to provide attendance reports to appointing authorities, and the changes will take effect on November 1, 2025.
