Additionally, the bill adds a new provision specifying that actions involving damages to land, crops, or improvements must be brought in the county where the damage occurred. The most significant change is the introduction of a third provision stating that disputes related to repairs or improvements made on real property or attached fixtures must also be filed in the county where the property is located. This amendment aims to provide clearer guidance on proper venue for different types of real property-related legal actions, ensuring that such cases are heard in the most appropriate geographic jurisdiction. The bill will take effect on November 1, 2025.
