This bill allows individuals who hold a valid lifetime hunting and fishing license in Oklahoma to request a special designation on their driver's license or state identification card. The designation can be "Lifetime Hunting and Fishing", "Lifetime Hunting", or "Lifetime Fishing" and can be added when initially obtaining, renewing, or replacing the license for no additional fee, or at a later time for a $25 fee. To add the designation, applicants must provide proof of their lifetime license, such as the original or digital certificate from the Department of Wildlife Conservation. Service Oklahoma (the state's licensing agency) will coordinate with the Department of Wildlife Conservation to verify the license's validity. The design of the designation (which could be a symbol, text, or icon) will be determined by Service Oklahoma in consultation with the wildlife department. If the lifetime hunting and fishing license is revoked or invalidated, Service Oklahoma will remove the designation. The bill also authorizes Service Oklahoma to create rules for implementing this process, including coordination with the wildlife department and updating driver's license design systems. The new law will take effect on November 1, 2025.
