This joint resolution proposes a constitutional amendment to modify the eligibility requirements for the Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction. Currently, candidates must be at least 31 years old and have been a qualified voter in the state for ten years. The new amendment would add an additional requirement that candidates must have completed public school administrator certification and have at least five years of experience as a school principal or superintendent.
