This joint resolution proposes an amendment to the Oklahoma Constitution that would modify the homestead property tax exemption for disabled veterans. Currently, only veterans with a 100% disability rating can receive a full exemption from property taxes on their home. The proposed amendment would create a graduated exemption system based on disability ratings: veterans with a 10-29% disability would receive a 25% exemption, those with 30-49% would get a 50% exemption, those with 50-69% would receive a 75% exemption, and veterans with a 70-100% disability rating would qualify for a full 100% exemption.
