This bill creates a new legal provision allowing property owners to establish a lien against a manufactured home under specific circumstances. Specifically, if a person, firm, or corporation allows an individual to use their real property for a manufactured home and the manufactured home owner does not exercise ownership or control of the home for 30 consecutive days or more, the property owner can claim a lien for the fair rental value of the property. The lien will be enforceable using the same procedures outlined in existing Oklahoma statute Section 97, meaning property owners have a legal mechanism to recover potential lost rental income if a manufactured home is abandoned on their property. The bill is set to take effect on November 1, 2025, and will be codified as Section 97.1 of Title 42 in the Oklahoma Statutes.
