For vehicles, watercraft, or trailers left unpaid for 60 days, facility owners can have the property towed without liability. Additionally, the bill modifies rules about abandoned property, allowing facility owners to dispose of items left for 30 days or more after the rental agreement ends, provided they send written notice by certified or verified mail and wait 15 days before disposing of the property. These changes aim to provide clearer guidelines and more efficient processes for self-service storage facilities. The bill is set to become effective on November 1, 2025.
