This bill authorizes clinical psychologists in Hawaii to obtain prescriptive authority for psychotropic medications after meeting specific educational, training, and registration requirements. Beginning July 1, 2026, the Board of Psychology will accept applications from psychologists who have completed extensive clinical training, including 800 hours of prescribing practicum, supervision of at least 100 patients, physical assessment training, and community service work. Applicants must also pass a national psychopharmacology examination.
