This bill establishes the Transit-Oriented Community Improvement Partnership, a new public body within the Department of Transportation designed to create more holistic, affordable, and livable communities around transit corridors. The partnership will be governed by a board of directors from various state agencies and appointed experts, and will have broad powers to plan, develop, and implement community improvement projects within a half-mile radius of rail lines.
