This bill authorizes a $6,400,000 state bond appropriation for McLeod County and/or the City of Hutchinson to develop a specialized transportation facility in Hutchinson. Specifically, the funds will be used to predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip a tempered vehicle and equipment storage and fueling facility for the Hutchinson Area Transportation Services. The Commissioner of Management and Budget is authorized to sell and issue state bonds to provide the funding, following standard state bonding procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes sections 16A.631 to 16A.675 and consistent with the Minnesota Constitution. The bill becomes effective immediately after its final enactment, enabling the local transportation agency to proceed with the facility improvements that will likely enhance the region's transportation infrastructure and vehicle maintenance capabilities.
