This bill creates an exception to the requirement of having a motor vehicle dealer license for selling or purchasing certain antique vehicles (at least 25 years old) or unique motor vehicles at auctions that meet specific criteria. These criteria include the auction being held at a venue with a permanent seating capacity of at least 20,000 in a county with a specific population range (based on the 2020 census), the auction operator conducting no more than one such auction in Tennessee per year, the auction offering between 400 and 2,000 vehicles, and the auction operator having a minimum net worth of $25 million. This provision is temporary and will be repealed on June 30, 2027, unless extended by the general assembly.
