This bill amends the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to enhance transparency around clean energy demonstration projects by requiring the Secretary of Energy to submit detailed reports to key congressional committees at least every six months. These reports must include copies of initial contracts and financial agreements for each demonstration project, a comprehensive list of project milestones (both met and unmet), and documentation of any material modifications to project scope, schedule, funding, partners, or budget. The bill mandates that these reports be made publicly available in a digital online format, beginning within six months of the bill's enactment. To reduce administrative burden, the Secretary is encouraged to synchronize these new reporting requirements with existing reporting mechanisms, such as those already required under other energy-related legislation. The goal of these provisions is to improve congressional and public oversight of federally supported clean energy demonstration projects by providing more frequent and detailed information about their progress, challenges, and changes.
