The proposed changes expand this requirement so that any law enforcement agency report documenting violations on the premises must now trigger a notification from the ABC Commission to the permit holder within five business days. The notification must identify the specific alleged violations and the involved employee. Importantly, the bill maintains the Commission's ability to take additional actions as warranted by the circumstances of the violation. The changes broaden the scope of mandatory notifications by removing previous limitations on which law enforcement agencies' reports would trigger the notification process, potentially increasing transparency and accountability for ABC permit holders. The bill becomes effective immediately upon becoming law and applies to violations committed on or after that date.
