Teachers will be required to complete annual training on identifying and responding to brain arteriovenous malformations, brain aneurysms, and strokes, with documentation kept in their personnel files. Police officers and emergency medical services personnel will also receive annual training on protocols for identifying and responding to these medical conditions. Additionally, schools must provide educational materials to parents of kindergarten students about brain arteriovenous malformations, brain aneurysms, and related genetic conditions, including information on genetic testing. The bill aims to increase awareness, improve early detection, and enhance response capabilities for these potentially life-threatening medical conditions. The law will take effect 180 days after its passage, with immediate authorization for developing necessary implementation regulations.
