This bill, the Pay Our Troops Act of 2025, makes continuing appropriations for military pay in the event of a Government shutdown for fiscal year 2025. * Such sums as are necessary to provide pay and allowances to members of the Armed Forces, including reserve components, who perform active service during a period when regular or interim appropriations are not in effect. This funding comes from any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated. * Such sums as are necessary to provide pay and allowances to civilian personnel of the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security (for the Coast Guard) who are determined by the respective Secretary to be providing support to active service members. This funding also comes from any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated. * Such sums as are necessary to provide pay and allowances to contractors of the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security (for the Coast Guard) who are determined by the respective Secretary to be providing support to active service members. This funding also comes from any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated. The appropriations made available by this Act will remain available until the earliest of: the enactment of regular or continuing appropriations for these purposes, the enactment of an appropriations act that does not include these appropriations, or January 1, 2026.
