This bill requires insurers and corporations that issue, sell, renew, or offer specialized dental benefits plan policies to submit annual reports to the superintendent of insurance with detailed information about their dental plans. These reports must include the number of covered persons (including those who meet or exceed annual coverage limits), plan cost-sharing and deductible amounts, and the annual maximum coverage limit. The reports will be based on the fiscal year during which dental coverage is provided. The superintendent will then compile these reports and submit them to the speaker of the assembly and the temporary president of the senate. Additionally, starting from the January following the first report submission, the superintendent must make dental loss ratio information publicly available in a searchable format on a website, organized by plan type. This legislation aims to increase transparency in dental insurance by providing comprehensive data about dental benefit plans to both government officials and the public. The bill will take effect immediately and apply to policies issued or in effect on and after January 1, 2026.
