This bill amends the state cannabis law to add a non-voting representative from the Division of Service-Disabled Veterans' Business Development to the existing state cannabis advisory board. Currently, the board consists of 13 voting members appointed by the governor, the temporary president of the senate, and the speaker of the assembly, along with several non-voting ex-officio representatives from various state departments and offices. The proposed change would expand the board's non-voting membership to include the representative from the service-disabled veterans' business development division, joining existing non-voting members from departments such as environmental conservation, agriculture and markets, and health. Board members serve three-year terms and are not compensated but can be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred while performing their duties. The bill would take effect immediately upon enactment.
