This resolution concerns the nomination and confirmation of Dr. Monique Powell-Davis to serve on the Maternal Mortality Review Committee (MMRC) for the District of Columbia, specifically for a term ending January 10, 2028. Dr. Powell-Davis is being reappointed as a member with experience in obstetrics and gynecology from a District of Columbia hospital or birthing center. She is currently the Executive Vice President of Medical Services at Mary's Center, a federally qualified health center, and is a Ward 4 resident with extensive medical credentials, including a Doctor of Medicine from Howard University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Virgin Islands.
