This bill provides funding for a statewide program to install automated external defibrillator (AED) smart monitored cabinets in schools across Minnesota. Specifically, the bill appropriates $24 million in fiscal year 2026 to the Minnesota State High School League to purchase and install up to 2,000 public access AED cabinets on school grounds. The AED units must be fully connected, include quick rescue capabilities, have five years of smart monitoring and maintenance, and be located in areas that are always publicly accessible.
