AI Summary

This bill, enacted as an emergency measure, aims to alleviate financial burdens on adult use cannabis businesses by removing certain additional testing requirements that were previously imposed. Specifically, it amends existing law to clarify that "further processing, manufacturing or alteration" of cannabis or cannabis products does not include the use of cannabis concentrate in the creation of edible cannabis products, except for specific testing related to contaminants. This change is intended to provide immediate relief to businesses that have already incurred costs for required testing and to address an issue that the Legislature considered in the previous session but could not fully resolve at that time.
