This bill provides $15 million in funding for bioindustrial facilities in Minnesota, specifically targeting businesses that have invested in developing land, infrastructure, buildings, and equipment to produce advanced biofuels, renewable chemicals, and biomass thermal energy. Starting August 1, 2026, the commissioner of employment and economic development will accept applications from existing bioindustrial facilities that previously received funding under specific Minnesota statutes (41A.16, 41A.17, or 41A.18) before January 31, 2025. Applicants must submit copies of their previous claims, and payments will be equal to any unpaid claims submitted on or before April 30, 2025.
