The subpage will provide comprehensive, quarterly reporting on disaster assistance from covered federal agencies, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Small Business Administration (SBA), and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Each quarter, these agencies must publicly disclose detailed information about disaster assistance, such as the total amount provided, funds expended or obligated to specific projects, and a comprehensive list of projects including their name, description, completion status, location, and assigned identification numbers. The bill defines "disaster assistance" broadly, covering funds related to natural disasters like fires, major presidential disaster declarations, and emergency situations, and applies to recipients like states and organizations (but not individuals). To enhance transparency, the OMB Director may even partner with a private nonprofit organization to develop the reporting platform. The goal is to create a centralized, machine-readable repository that allows the public to track how federal disaster assistance is being used and distributed across different agencies and projects.
