This bill establishes a pilot program to provide alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and navigation services for child support cases in family court. The program will be implemented in at least three counties, including two counties within a city with a population of one million or more, and will be conducted through community dispute resolution centers. The program aims to help parties resolve child support disputes more efficiently and with better support, and will be funded through state and potentially federal funds. The bill will take effect 270 days after becoming law, with the chief administrator of the courts authorized to develop implementation rules in the meantime.
