Today, over 150 Service and Conservation Corps across the country provide opportunities for approximately 23,000 young adults and post-9/11 veterans aged 16-35 to participate in projects related to conservation, disaster response, recreation, and community development. The corps offer participants work experience, skills training, educational programming, stipends, and potential education awards, while simultaneously addressing critical national needs such as environmental preservation, infrastructure maintenance, and community resilience. By supporting this resolution, the House of Representatives aims to recognize the corps' contributions, encourage public appreciation for national service, and support the continuation and expansion of these programs under the National and Community Service Act.
