This bill authorizes the town of Maynard to grant one additional liquor license to Maynard Corner Store LLC, located at 49 Walnut Street, allowing them to sell all alcoholic beverages for off-premises consumption. The license is subject to the regulations of Chapter 138 of the Massachusetts General Laws, with a few specific conditions: the license cannot be transferred to another location, but can be granted to a new applicant at the same location if they provide good standing letters from the Department of Revenue and Department of Unemployment Assistance. If the license is terminated, not renewed, cancelled, or revoked, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then reissue it to a new applicant within three years under the same conditions. The licensee must also return their existing wine and malt beverage license upon receiving this new license. The bill will take effect immediately upon passage, and the license must be issued within one year of the act's effective date.
