This resolution recognizes and celebrates the extraordinary achievements of the Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) boys cross country team during the 2025 season. The team won their fourth consecutive and 15th overall Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) State Cross Country Tournament, completing an undefeated season by capturing titles at seven multi-team invitationals, the Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet, and the WIAA sectional meet. The resolution highlights the program's remarkable consistency, having qualified for the state meet 47 times between 1977 and 2024, which is the most state appearances of any team in Wisconsin. The team's success extends beyond athletic performance, as they were named Academic All-State and praised for fostering a culture of teamwork, leadership, and personal development. The resolution also recognizes head coaches Donn Behnke and Kevin Hopp as State Coaches of the Year and acknowledges the individual achievements of team members, including First Team All-Conference honors for Cooper Erickson, Garrett Strong, Fisher Carroll, John Jazdzewski, and Bennett Story.
