This bill approves two modifications (M0012 and M0013) to an existing contract (Contract No. CW100367) with Jaydot LLC, despite certain standard procurement requirements. The bill authorizes payment of up to $1,508,069.48 for goods and services already received and to be received under the contract. The authorization is being made pursuant to the District of Columbia Home Rule Act and notwithstanding typical procurement practices reform requirements. The bill includes a provision adopting the fiscal impact statement from the Chief Financial Officer and specifies that it will take effect upon mayoral approval (or Council override of a potential mayoral veto). As an emergency act, the bill will remain in effect for no more than 90 days, which is a standard provision for emergency legislation in the District of Columbia that allows the Council to take quick action on urgent matters.
