Bidding opportunities for small businesses to participate in state and local government contracts. 2. Economic development programs, whether public or private, that may offer benefits to small businesses. 3. Courses of instruction, networking opportunities, and other events or opportunities encouraging the establishment, development, and expansion of small businesses. 4. Requirements for small businesses to obtain from the state or a local government any license, permit, or other authorization. 5. AI Summary

This bill requires the Department of Administration (DOA) to create an online clearinghouse of information specifically designed to support small businesses in Wisconsin. The clearinghouse will serve as a comprehensive digital resource that aggregates information from multiple state agencies and local organizations, including the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, and Departments of Workforce Development and Revenue. The website will provide critical resources for small businesses, such as details about government contract bidding opportunities, available economic development programs, educational and networking events to help businesses grow, and guidance on obtaining necessary licenses, permits, and understanding tax and fee requirements. By centralizing this information in one accessible online platform, the bill aims to simplify the process for small businesses to access important resources, understand regulatory requirements, and identify opportunities for development and expansion within the state.
