AI Summary

This bill requires the Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) to create an online clearinghouse of information specifically designed to support small businesses in the state. The clearinghouse will be a comprehensive web-based resource that compiles information from multiple state agencies and local organizations, including the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and departments of Workforce Development and Revenue. The website will provide small businesses with critical information in five key areas: (1) bidding opportunities for government contracts, (2) economic development programs that might benefit small businesses, (3) educational courses and networking events to help businesses establish and grow, (4) guidance on obtaining necessary licenses and permits from state and local governments, and (5) information about tax and fee requirements imposed by state and local governments. By creating this centralized online platform, the bill aims to make it easier for small businesses to access essential information, resources, and opportunities that can support their development and success in Wisconsin.
