Students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or a Section 504 plan, which are legal documents providing accommodations for students with disabilities, will receive reasonable and appropriate accommodations on the test, but they are not required to take it if it cannot be done safely. The test can be administered during physical education or other required physical activity periods, and a student's performance will not affect their grades. The bill also outlines reporting requirements for the Department of Education if the Presidential Fitness Test authorization is revoked, including data on student participation and award recipients.
