AI Summary

This bill amends Tennessee law to change the penalties for individuals under 21 who unlawfully purchase, possess, accept, or use fake identification to buy tobacco, smoking hemp, vapor products, or smokeless nicotine products. For a first offense, instead of just a civil penalty, courts can now require community service, completion of a court-approved program, or an informal adjustment period of 90 days. For repeat offenders, the bill allows for probation for up to six months, in addition to community service and a court program specifically designed to educate them about the dangers of tobacco and vapor products, with probation not being supervised by the Department of Children's Services.
