AI Summary

This bill modifies the penalties for individuals under 21 years old who unlawfully purchase, possess, accept, or use fake identification to buy tobacco, smoking hemp, vapor products, or smokeless nicotine products in Tennessee. For a first offense, instead of just a potential civil penalty, courts can now require community service, completion of a court-approved program focused on the dangers of these products, or an informal adjustment period of 90 days for minors. For a second or subsequent offense, minors can be placed on probation for up to six months, in addition to community service and completing the educational program, with the probation not being supervised by the Department of Children's Services.
