The bill specifies several exemptions from this requirement, including individuals already complying with work registration for other programs like Title IV of the Social Security Act or unemployment compensation, those caring for an incapacitated person or a child under six, students enrolled at least half-time in recognized educational programs (unless ineligible under other federal rules), participants in drug or alcohol rehabilitation programs, individuals employed at least thirty hours per week or earning equivalent wages, and younger individuals (16-18) who are not heads of households or are attending school or training programs at least half-time.
