This requirement aligns with federal law, specifically 7 United States Code Section 2015(d), and includes several exemptions, such as individuals already complying with work registration for other programs like Title IV of the Social Security Act or unemployment compensation, those caring for an incapacitated person or a child under six, students enrolled at least half-time in recognized educational programs (unless ineligible under another federal provision), participants in drug or alcohol rehabilitation programs, individuals employed at least thirty hours per week or earning equivalent wages, and younger individuals (16-18) who are not heads of households or are attending school or training programs at least half-time.
