Furthermore, the bill allows spouses of active service members to be eligible for senatorial and Delegate scholarships, provided they are domiciled in the state, and extends hiring preferences in certain public service roles, including at the Public Service Commission, to spouses of active service members and eligible veterans who have received a discharge other than dishonorable.
